The election of the president of the Football Federation of Armenia will be held in September. According to acting president Ruben Hayrapetyan, the best candidate for this post is Arthur Vanesyan, the head of the National Security Service, and if he is nominated, Ruben Hayrapetyan will not be nominated. The First Armenian Front (FAF) has issued a statement according to which a French footballer with Armenian roots, world champion Youri Djorkaeff, is also a possible candidate and the FAF will support him. To remind, Djorkaeff has told Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan weeks ago that he is inspired by an Armenian revolution and is seriously ready to support Armenia and Armenian football.
