Today, at the National Assembly, Edmon Marukyan, member of the Yelk (Way out) faction, mentioned: “We did not want Mrs. Tandilyan to resign, we would not want Mrs. Tandilyan to leave the party.”
Mane Tandilyan explains her decision of resigning by her disagreement with the government that decided to make the funded pension system mandatory for all citizens born after 1973 from July 1, 2018. When assuming the Minister’s duties she spoke for postponing the full implementation of the compulsory component for a year to find better solutions through public discussions. Tandilyan, who was also a member of the Bright Armenia party said she is also terminating her membership in the political force.
“If the prime minister accepts the application, we will represent another candidate, we have a human resource in the party and we can nominate a candidate for any minister’s post. If prime minister will not sign Mane Tandilyan’s application, she will continue to hold office,” said hairman of the Bright Armenia party Marukyan
