Ombudsman has private meeting with person deprived of liberty
Within the framework of an unannounced visit to Nubarashen penitentiary on May 10, a person deprived of liberty informed the Human Rights Defender's representatives about the beatings of the police officers. The injuries were recorded on his body by the Ombudsman's representatives. All materials compiled in the Defender's Office, including photos of the injuries, have been transferred to the criminal prosecution body for the immediate initiation of the procedure provided for by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia.
