Elizbar Gevorgyan's most vivid memory from the days of the Patriotic War is the escape from a 1.5-year-old captivity. "They were taking us to Germany, a good man met, warned us that they were taking us there, we escaped to the forest, and in the evening we came from the forest to his house, he gave us bread, then we came to our troops." The veterans who are celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War still have many stories to presnt. 94-year-old Sergei Berchyan recalls how the commander changed his last name. "They were calling me malish (little), I was little then-20 years old. I told the commander I was Berchyan, the commander said, 'Baghramyan, all the Armenians are Baghramyan.' I'll never forget it." There were not only the war participants in the Victory Park, but also many children and young people. Those who saw the war and their descendants want only one thing-  stable peace.
