“Today we are winning our enemy because we inherited our triumphant spirit from our fathers and grandfathers. History lessons cannot be forgotten or ignored,” said Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan, the legendary Commandos.
On the eve of the 73rd anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, the Young Universitarians’ Union, with the support of Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, organized the reconstruction of one of the battles of the 89th Tamanyan Armenian division at the Mother Armenia Museum.
Only Armenians were able to have such a powerful and united military unit. The Tamanyan division was the only national division from the Caucasus Mountains that reached Berlin and danced the “Kochari”. The accordion and dhol, which was echoed by the chorus today, have found their honorable place at the Mother Armenia Museum.
Those present, with regret, stated that such an event organized by the youth was a small one, and none of the veterans, unfortunately, were present at all.
