"There is a fundamental difference between 1988 and this struggle. At that time I was a student and participated in the movement. We were the descendants of the Soviet Union. Today's generation is a free and independent generation that does not have the fears we inherited from our parents, our grandparents. I remember my grandmother, a daughter of a repressed, used to cover the phone with a pillow when telling a political joke on phone. In 1988, in 2008, these fears still existed. Today's generation is a 21st-century generation that has got rid of those fears. "It's a new, unprecedented generation that is free in its judgments for whom the world is open. And this greatly changes the situation. They are not restricted by borders, they are not restricted to their contact with the world because they have the knowledge of languages. Their desire is to work and create a non-repressive, free and independent country. "Without fear, without police pressure. This is the end of the 1988 fight. Today in this struggle we have the chance to fully liberate from the negative phenomena coming from the Soviet era. There is a point of view that the artist is far from politics. I do not agree. An artist must be in the front line,  he/she must direct and support."
