Trees in the area adjacent to Avetik Isahakian Library have become poetic. On the occasion of the International Poetry Day, the library organizes poetry tree decorating. The passers-by write in postcards and hang on the tree branches. Narine Gizhlaryan, social networking director at Avetik Isahakyan Library recalled last year's event. "Last year there was a very strong wind and the leaves were cut off, we gave poetry to the wind, poetry spread through the city with the wind wings, we hope that this year it will not happen again." According to her, there are not enough participants in the event. "They come with pleasure, write poems in Russian, English and Armenian as well as quotes from modern poetry, it is a very pleasing ceremony." The International Poetry Day has been celebrated since 1999. Poetic tree decoration will continue throughout the day.
