Czech company "Arriva" to take part in competition of a common route network

On December 4, Vahan Martirosyan, RA Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies, received Petr Mikiska, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Armenia, and Daniel Adamka, Executive Director of "Arriva" Transportation Company. The Ambassador presented to the Minister the exemplary experience of the Czech Republic on the operation of the transport system and the role of "Arriva" company in it, and expressed hope on creation of mutually beneficial cooperation. Daniel Adamka presented in details the company's activities, its vehicles, which are highly-qualified buses, exploiting in more than 14 European countries. Daniel Adamka mentioned that besides the production of buses, the company also developed new technological means of transport. He also expressed a wish to be involved in the implementation of the planned transport system in Armenia. Vahan Martirosyan noted that changes in the management of the Armenian transport system were planned, and he would be happy if "Arriva", the largest European transport operator, also participated in the probationary project that was going to be held in one of the provinces of Armenia. The Minister suggested to present a program after the relevant researches and then to continue the discussions in concrete directions of cooperation, Informational Center of  the RA Transport, Communication and Information Technologies reports.
