The press service of Yerevan's "Pyunik" football club denies the fact that the former footballer of Kazakhstan national team Evgeniy Lovchev has been appointed as the club's head coach. Several Russian websites have reported yesterday that Evgeniy Lovchev, the son of former Soviet football defender Evgeniy Lovchev, who is currently a football agent, replaced Armen Gyulbudaghyants, who was appointed as team coach. Evgeniy Lovchev received the citizenship of Kazakhstan in 2001 and played for the national team of Kazakhstan in 2003-2004. He has twice become Kazakhstan's champion and cup holder in various teams, and in 2002 he was recognized as the best player in the country. However, it is difficult to understand why Pyunik refused the aforementioned because the new owner of the club, Arthur Soghomonyan, is in good relationship with Evgeniy Lovchev.
