NA Speaker Ara Babloyan in his extraordinary speech at the discussion of the bill on making the Criminal Code amendments, submitted by the HHK MPs Karen Avagyan and Hrayr Tovmasyan today, announced in the NA that it was a pity and sad that there were partners who compared the activities of the physician with an engineer's work. "Physicians often are in a psychological disequilibrium and can get irritated. But it does not suppose that they should be subjected to violence. When, for example, they kill an ambulance doctor, who is going to help the patient? We do not state by this law that a healthcare provider should be privileged, but we say that the patient often comes to him in nervous condition. We should properly evaluate the work of this or that specialist." In his speech, Arpine Hovhannisyan, a member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs, said: "Wish you and your family members to be healthy and never need any doctor. We speak about the value that protect doctors. God give health to all of you and all of your friends that you do not need a doctor. We talk about the value that the doctor protects. There are articles on the Criminal Day, where there are professions that are separated from violence. I urge you to vote for this project. I urge you to vote for this draft law." Karen Avagyan, the keynote speaker, the author of the draft law, thanked everyone who supported the law in his final speech. "I would like to add that health is for people who value doctors' work."
