Before the Eastern Partnership Summit to be held next week in Brussels, the European Parliament calls on the European Union and the Foreign Ministry to start a dialogue with Armenia on visa liberalization. The resolution passed yesterday, before the plenary session of the Parliament, notes that significant progress has been made since the summit in Riga which took place two years ago. - "Negotiations with Armenia have been completed on a Deep and Comprehensive Partnership Treaty, which is a good example of how the Eurasian Union membership and participation in the EU Neighborhood programs can be combined." "Taking this progress into account, the European MPs are calling for a visa-free regime with Armenia, which has already been made in Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, but the final decision should be made by member states and the European Commission," Ricard Jozvyak explains Radio Liberty working correspondent.
