Maria Zakharova: Azerbaijan is an important strategic partners of Russia (video)
Maria Zakharova, the RF Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said at a briefing today that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on November 20, to meet with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. During the visit to Azerbaijan, the relations between the two countries will be discussed. Zakharova noted that Azerbaijan was an important strategic partner of Russia, and that year marked the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. "Russia continues to support the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and finding mutually acceptable solutions with other Minsk Group Co-Chairs," Zakharova said.
