Identity of the body not revealed
In the Investigation Committee of the RA Investigative Department in Dilijan, the necessary means are being seized in order to examine the corpse, detected in the Tavush region, and find out the circumstances of the murder. On November 11, 2017, woman's body was found, partially damaged, at the intersection of Idjevan-Chambarak highway, about 600 meters to the town of Idjevan, on the bank of the river running right on the road. Clothes and other items were also found at the scene. The examination of the corpse with the experts revealed traces of violence. A criminal case was instituted in the Dilijan Investigation Department of Tavush region, on the case of murder of a woman, in accordance with Article 104, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. Forensic, as well as forensic biology, forensic science examinations have been appointed. The assignments were given to the corresponding police units regarding the implementation of operative-search measures. Necessary measures are being taken to found out the identity of the corpse and the circumstances of the case. Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
