Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Tsarukyan bloc, stays in the opinion that some cases of life-sentenced prisoners should be re-opened and investigated. Today, there are 94-95 such prisoners an seven or eight from them killed their superior or another soldier during the military service. “There are many problems here, if the superiors or co-workers wanted to, for example, to commit abusive acts to a soldier, these soldiers were condemned by the former Soviet Code, according to which they were executed by the execution, death penalty. If today they were sentenced for the same crime, it is up to 15 years in prison, but some of them are in prison already for 20 years. For those particular cases, we believe that the punishment regime should be revised.”
