Action at YSU, the elimination of the right to deferment (video)
Students are protesting against new draft law on "Status of Military Servicemen." Now, the students of Yerevan State University (YSU) are protesting against the elimination of the right to deferment. The new draft law states that the service will be postponed only if a citizen signs a contract with the Ministry of Defense, according to which the citizen should serve in the army for 3 years, instead of 2, after the study. 13.20 Students move towards other universities. According to participants of the action, the leaders of the university have already threaten that students participating in the action will have problems with exams.
