Arayik Khandoyan: We are not detainees, we are freedom fighters (video)
At today's trial, Arayik Khandoyan, member of the Sasna Tsrer group, did not like the speech of the session secretary. The latter was announcing that the defendants were present at the trial. "We are not detainees, call us by our names, we are freedom fighters," said Arayik Khandoyan. When judge Mesrop Makyan spoke to him, calling him "detainee Khandoyan", the latter got angry. "You are detainee." Arayik Khandoyan was surprised when the court imposed sanctions on him in the form of a warning. "Who has announced that? Which court? We do not see any court here," added Arayik Khandoyan. Today's trial was short. The court received applications from defenders Arayik Papikyan, Tigran Yegoryan, David Gyurjian and Ara Gharagyozyan, who could not be present at today's trial as they participated in court hearings on different cases. Hayk Alumyan, Smbat Barseghyan's defender, was present at today's trial. He filed a motion to eliminate the ban on Smbat Barseghyan's visits. Judge Mesrop Makyan accepted the motion. Hayk Alumyan will express his opinion on the self-withdrawal petition to the judge during the next session. The trial will continue on November 8. Details are available in the video
