The most intriguing event of the year "Yerevan Jazz Fest 2017" will end with a performance by world renowned pianist Gonzalo Rubalcaba. Vahagn Hayrapetyan quintet and saxophonist Alexis Avagyan will also participate in this event. “I am always open for invitations. A week ago I was in Japan, today in Yerevan, and tomorrow I will go to Vienna. This is the musician's life, which, of course, requires great effort, but also, gives a lot. You can communicate with different people, get acquainted with different cultures, and enrich your soul,” says Gonzalo Rubalcaba and continues, “This is my first visit to Armenia. Unfortunately, I have to leave tomorrow. But I hope that I will have an opportunity to come here again and work with Armenian musicians. " Rubalcaba 's performance will be a piano solo concert that, in his opinion, is always a challenge and a good opportunity for the soloist to demonstrate his mastery. “Yes,” says Vahagn Hayrapetyan, "the piano solo is a special business card, a wonderful way to open the soul of a jazz musician." “I was born in a family of musicians, I started playing at the age of six, but not piano, but drums, and then I went to classical piano lessons. All this has left its mark on my performance technique,” says Gonzalo Rubalcaba. The saxophonist Alexis Avagyan, who is originally from Vanadzor, is also in Armenia for the first time. But he decided to fill this "gap" and visit Armenia as often as possible. Yerevan Jazz Fest has a history of three years, but according to Kamo Movsisyan, the president of the Armenian Association of Jazz, this festival is already well-known in the world.
