Armenia-EU agreement to be postponed

Today, during the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum in Tallinn, Estonia, European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negations Johannes Hahn, with accordance to the questions of Armenian civil society representatives, stated that the Armenia-EU agreement will be signed certainly. At the same time, Mr. Hahn did not exclude that it could happen not in November, during the Eastern Partnership summit, but much later. Johannes Hahn did not specify what are the causes of this delay in the signing of the agreement, however, he assured once again that it would be signed. Commissioner Hahn also noted that the conditions for budgetary assistance to Armenia for reforms in the field of human rights will be severe and will not be ignored.
