The new grandmaster Arman Mikaelyan is making a successful performance at the Mikhail Chigorin Memorial in Saint Petersburg. Our 21-year-old chess player won Vladimir Romanenko in the 5th round with black pieces and scored 4,5 points through which he got equal to the leaders of the tournament. In the 6th round scheduled today, Arman Mikaelyan will compete with GM Mikhail Kobalia of Russia. Another Armenian player, 20-year-old Sargis Mkrtchyan, had also a successful performance during the tournaments. He has 4 points and is going to fight with Chinese Lanikai Lee today.
