American company to participate in Shnogh HPP construction project
The American "The Robbins Company" will participate in the construction of Shnogh HPP power station. Debed Hydro LLC and the Robbins Company have signed a contract . RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Ashot Manukyan and US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills were present during this. Ashot Manukyan, during his opening speech of the ceremony, noted: "The construction project of Shnogh HPP is an important step towards Armenia's energy security in the context of the strategy adopted by the Government of Armenia. The Armenian government highly appreciates the fact that this step is taken by American partners. I would like to thank debed Hydro LLC and the Robins companies for the energy system of our country and for the economy of Armenia in general. The Minister also thanked the US Embassy in Armenia and personally Ambassador Mills for active support for the long-term cooperation between the two private sectors. “This year we mark the 25th anniversary of our diplomatic relations with the Republic of Armenia and I cannot recall a better representation of our 25-year partnership, than the achievement that we celebrate today, "said US Ambassador Richard Mills. “Signing the contract between Debed Hydro LLC and Robins companies is an example of US-Armenia cooperation in the field of energy. I want to thank Minister Ashot Manukyan for introducing me the investment opportunity of Shnogh hydroelectric power station as well as I want to congratulate him for the completion of the program of bringing world-class American tunnel drilling technology and equipment through joint work.
