Armenia is currently participating in the Mikhail Chigorin Memorial Tournament, which is being held in Saint Petersburg, Russia. GM Arman Mikaelyan, who has shown the best result after two tours and is among the group of leaders after the two rounds already. Young chess player Hovhannes H. Hakobyan is the 95th with 1.5 points. FIDE master Arthur Davtyan and Sargis Mkrtchyan had victory and one defeat, while Hayk Yeritsyan played a draw. Our chess veteran Vladimir Poghosyan has not earned any points yet.
