The Armenian delegation meets with the Deputy Secretary of State
The annual meeting of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group took place on October 12-15 in Washington, DC. The meeting was attended by Vache Gabrielyan, RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan, and Arthur Javadyan, Chairman of the Central Bank. Within the framework of the annual meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, a number of economic meetings were held, in particular, with Siril Muller, the Deputy Chairman of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia, and the Regional Director Frank Herserker, IMF Managing Director Anthony de Lano, IMF Regional Director Jihad Azuri, and others. The main focus areas included issues related to global economy, current trends in economic development, financial stability in global financial markets, economic situation in the region, and poverty reduction in developing countries. On October 13, Vache Gabrielyan had a meeting with Brigitte Brink, the US State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. On October 16, Vache Gabrielyan, the RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, will pay a working visit to California where he will meet with Governor Jerry Brown. During the meeting a number of issues will be discussed to deepen the bilateral trade and economic relations.
