In January-August of this year, consumer goods increased by only 0.6%, according to the National Statistical Service. It was not possible to avoid the rise in prices in butter and beef markets.  These days, these products are sold at stores at 30-40% higher than usual. Economists motivate the rise in price, mainly by the increasement in the prices of butter and meat in international markets. Economist Vilen Khachatryan said that the increase in prices for butter and beef might result in toughening of tax policy. "Mainly butter violations were registered. Economists' reaction to this phenomenon is that when they come out of the shade they begin to dictate a real price, which is accompanied by a rise in prices."
