Telephone conversations of Samvel Babayan and others tobe announced (video)
During the trial on the case of Samvel Babayan, the former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, and others, the secret hearings conducted in Samvel Babayan’s office were studied. During the investigation of these evidences, Samvel Babayan was indignant that materials which were not relevant to the case were published. Judge Arshak Vardanyan clarified that they could not publish recordings relevant to the particular case at once. “I would be glad if it were objective. And if all this is real, then I will be allowed to go straight home from the courtroom,” announced Samvel Babayan. A break has been announced at the moment, after which the telephone conversations of defendants will be published. To remind, according to the indictment, Samvel Babayan instigated a group of persons, with preliminary agreement, to illegally acquire and hide Igla type of zenith rocket complex, as well as acquired illegal property through the exchange. Sanasar Gabrielyan, Armen Poghosyan, Karen and Andranik Kocharyan, Zhora Zakaryan and Davit Harutyunyan also go through the case as defendants. Samvel Babayan, Sanasar Gabrielyan and Armen Poghosyan were detained and the rest were released under their signature.
