Chess Tournament ends on the island of Man (video)

The annual International Chess Tournament has ended on the island of Man. As it was expected, world champion Magnus Carlsen, won the tournament, in the ninth tour, he played a draw with GM Hikaru Nakamura, scoring 7.5 points, thus becoming inaccessible to his pursuers. The American chess player took the third place, as former world champion Viswanathan Anand scored equal points (7), with additional points, took the second place. Both of the Armenian chess players, Sergei Movsesian and Gabriel Sargsian, scored 6 points. They finished the tournament in the 16th and 19th places, respectively. Our chess players were deprived of cash prizes because only those chess players who won the first 10 places in this tournament were to be encouraged. Armenian GM Varuzhan Hakobian representing the United States took the 31st place with 5.5 points, while Brazilian-Armenian chess player Grigor-Sevak Mkhitarian took tge 72nd place, scoring 4.5 points.
