Levon Aronian wins 2017 FIDE World Cup (video)
Armenia’s Levon Aronian has clinched his second FIDE World Cup in Tbilisi, 12 years after winning in Khanty-Mansiysk. In today’s tiebreak against Ding Liren of China Aronian won both rapid games. He first won the cup back in 2005. Thus, Aronian became the winner of Chess World Cup for the second time, repeating the success of 2005.
