54,550 citizens take advantage of the Receipts for Payment of Customs Duties System
Receipts for Payment of Customs Duties System, launched by the State Revenue Committee on February 13, 2013, has simplified the border crossing procedure for individuals and provided the customs authority with the necessary control over the electoral platform. With the launch of the system, individuals will no longer have to pay customs agents to submit a declaration of products for personal use, as the wording is made by customs officers without any additional charges. As of September 1, 54,550 citizens took advantage of the new system, about 50 percent crossing the border with Bagratashen customs point.
