Charge presented in the case of murder at Vernisage
60-year-old R. Khachatryan was charged under the criminal case on the murder near Vernisage by the Chief Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Earlier we informed that on September 14, 2017, on Hanrapetutyan St. 48, shots were heard near the hotel, as a result of which Gagik Mosinyan, born in 1974, died and Vahagn Abgaryan, born in 1978, was taken to a medical center with gunshot injuries. A large number of circumstances of the case have been identified as a result of large-scale investigative actions taken on the case. Particularly, factual data have been obtained that the murder was planned in advance, and the scope of the perpetrators of crimes has been found out; two of them are residents of Alaverdi, one is from Yerevan. On September 15, the investigator made a decision that A. Blbulanyan, A. Karadavidov and R. Khachatryan were convicted under Points 6 and 7 of Part 2 of Article 104, Point 1 of the Part 2 of Article 34-104, and Part 1 of Article 235 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia as accused persons, the detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them and the search was declared. On September 22, as a result of the operative-search activities, R. Khachatryan, who was wanted, was found and presented to the body conducting the proceedings. R. Khachatryan was charged and questioned. A petition was submitted to the court to reaffirm the detention of R. Khachatryan as a precautionary measure. The preliminary investigation continues, measures are being taken to detect other wanted persons, to provide a comprehensive and objective investigation of the criminal case.
