Foreign Minister of Armenia met with the President of the International Crisis group
On September 22, in New York Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Jean-Marie Guéhenno, President of the International Crisis Group. The ICG President briefed the Foreign Minister of Armenia on the directions of the Organization’s activities and the ongoing researches. Edward Nalbandian attached importance to the activities of the International Crisis Group and emphasized that the reports prepared by the Organization should be based on reliable sources, unbiased analyses by taking into account the opinions of all the sides; those reports should contribute to the negotiation processes which are being conducted within the agreed formats aimed at the exclusively peaceful settlement of conflicts. Upon the request of the ICG President, Minister Nalbandian presented in details the efforts being undertaken by Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, as well as the gross violations of international humanitarian law during the last April’s large-scale military aggression of Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
