The tie-breaks in the semi-final stage (short-term games) take place today at the World Chess Cup in Tbilisi. Our chess player Levon Aronian will compete with French Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, and American Wesley Son with Chinese Din Liege for the final. The parties will first have two games of rapid chess. In the case of draw, they will try their best in blitz chess, first 10 minutes and then 5 minutes. If in those games the winner's name is not clear again, so called "Armageddon" will be held, in which player with white figures must definitely win, otherwise he will lose.
