During the Government's question-and-answer session in the National Assembly, a question was risen about the problems of Shirak region, one of the poorest regions in Armenia. The deputy conveyed the most pressing problems faced by locals: low prices for milk, unemployment, destroyed roads, worn-out agricultural equipment, etc. The problem of drinking water is the most troubling which exists not only in Amasia and Ashotsk but also in many other communities of the region. There were so many communities that [Parliament Speaker] Ara Babloyan advised presenting problems in written form.
