Lawyers on strike did not boycott elections: Aravot
Today, the Chamber of Advocates is choosing the president of the Chamber. The only candidate is the current president Ara Zohrabyan. “The lawyers on strike have not boycotted the elections of the president of the Chamber. Maybe some lawyers who joined the strike do not take part, but that does not concern everyone,” he told reporters. To remind, nearly 200 lawyers announced a strike, complaining about the illegal search against them in courts. Ara Zohrabyan commented on why he is the only candidate, “Wouldn’t like to boast that anyone else did not dare to put their candidacy. It would be nice if our colleagues nominated their candidates, but we have what we have. I have submitted my report for the past four years, and estimators are lawyers.” The full article here
