Levon Aronian to face Maxim Matlakov
Armenia’s strongest chess player Levon Aronian today will face Russian GM Maxim Matlakov in the first chess game of 1/16 final of World Cup Championship. In the previous round the latter defeated his compatriot Dmitry Andreikin in the tie-break with the score 5:3. Formerly two chess players faced each other in rapid and blitz chess. Both chess games ended in a draw. Today Levon Aronian will play with white pieces.
