Program aimed at improving social status of teachers to be ready in October
Optimization of schools in Armenia should not affect general policy in the country, Armenia’s Minister of Education and Science said on Wednesday, August 30. Together with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Levon Mktchyan today met with teachers and principals of primary and high schools in Yerevan. The aim of the meeting was to inform schools about the policy that the Ministry will adopt in the education sector. The minister said special attention will be paid to the improvement of social status and conditions of teachers in a new program that will be ready until Teacher's Day. Teachers' Day is a special day for appreciation of teachers which is observed in Armenia on the first Sunday of October.
