MES: Three firefighter-rescuers affected by smoke in territory of “Nairit”: updated (video)

16:42 MES informs: As of 15:00 11 firefighting brigades and 1 fire engine are participating in the activities of extinguishing the fire in the territory of “Nairit” plant. According to the preliminary information ethynol substance is being burnt on the scene; specialists from the scene inform that there aren’t hazardous emissions from the burning substance, no danger threatens to the population. As of 16:15 the activities of extinguishing the fire continue in the territory of the plant, during which three firefighter-rescuers were affected by smoke; one of them received medical aid on the spot, and the other two were transferred to “Erebuni” MC and after receiving appropriate medical aid returned to the fire site and now continue participating in the activities. There is no need to organize evacuation of the residents from the nearby territories, as no danger threatens the people. 14:35 At about 14:00 the fire has been extinguished, there is no danger of extension of the fire; the burning substance isn’t hazardous. 13:15 Alarms have been voiced on social media on big fire in Yerevan. According to the social media users, the fire is either in “Nairit” plant or “Spayka”. Public relations department of the MES told “A1+” that according to the preliminary information the fire is in the territory of “Nairit”; 6 firefighting brigades have left for the scene, additional information will be provided.
