Heroic act by pilot of plane damaged in hail (video)
From yesterday the hero of the media outlets is a citizen of Ukraine, pilot Oleksandr Akopov, thanks to whom the plane damaged in hail successfully landed at Ataturk airport of Istanbul. The front part of Atlas Global airline’s plane, windscreen and autopilot had been damaged in hail. There were 121 passengers and 6 crew members on board of the plane carrying out Istanbul-Ercan (North Cyprus) flight. All the media outlets praise the pilot, who assesses his act to be normal. Today Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko awarded the For Courage medal to Oleksandr Akopov. Watch the video!
