Amin Bassem gained victory at “Lake Sevan-2017” chess tournament held in Sevan. Today at the last 9th round, Egyptian grandmaster defeated Igor Kovalenko, gained 6.5 points and took the first place. Ukrainian chess player Martyn Kravtsiv, who had had equal points, ended in a draw with the international master Manuel Petrosyan. Kravtsiv took the second place with 6 points. The third leader of the tournament Israeli chess player Tamir Nabaty in the last round lost to Armenia’s champion Hovhannes Gabuzyan and took the third place. Among Armenian chess players Manuel Petrosyan performed successfully, who gained 5 points out of 9 possible and shared 4-5th places with Polish chess player Dariush Shvarts.
