Ecologists in Armenia are concerned over the decreasing level of Lake Sevan, Ecolur reports. In 26 days, the water level has been lowered by 8 cm because of additional water outlet from the lake. Earlier this month, Serzh Sargsyan signed a law on making amendments to the Law 'On Approving Annual and Complex Programs for Recovery, Conservation, Reproduction and Use of Lake Sevan Ecosystem, under which another 100 million cum water will be let out of Lake Sevan, besides the statutory-set 170 million cum water. This year the highest landmark of Lake Sevan was 1900.91 cm, but the lake started decreasing because of water outlets. As of July 21, the level of Lake Sevan was 1900.83 cm.
