The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra under the leadership of artistic director Vladimir Fedoseyev will perform in Yerevan on June 15. Fedoseyev has been artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra since 1974. "Tchaikovsky is Russia’s soul,” says Maestro Vladimir Fedoseyev. “The fact that out orchestra was named after Pyotr Ilyich [Tchaikovsky] is binding,” he added. “More than ten wonderful musicians from Armenia play in our orchestra,” the director continues. “My relations with Armenia have always been very warm and courteous." He says it is not accidental that Aram Khachaturian's works are also included in the program. The concert is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of relations between Armenia and Russia.
