Opening of Abkhazian road will boost Armenia's economy (video)
Armenia will benefit significantly if it is connected with Russia by the Abkhazian road corridor. The Armenian government is holding negotiations with the Georgian and Russian sides. If the plan works, the volume of exports and imports will increase in the first place. Gagik Aghajanyan, Director of “Apaven” freight forwarding company, says it will boost the country’s economy. “This will lead to the reduction in freight costs, shipping terms, seasonal freight transportation will disappear,” he said.
