Jazz and wine lovers at one place

For three days wine and jazz lovers had an opportunity to enjoy their favorite drink and music at one place; “ArmAs” wine making company hold “Wine & Jazz” wine and jazz festival in vineyards on June 2-4. The leadership of the wine factory, which actively takes part in the cultural life of Armenia, has decided to contribute to the development of jazz music and tourism. “Wine is good compliment to any good thing, and it has always been wonderful with jazz. I myself like both,” said Victoria Aslanyan, Executive Director of “ArmAs” wine making factory. During three days of the festival the visitors had an opportunity to enjoy works of famous performers- “Goght” band, Artyom Manukyan, New Trio of Chiko, Anna Kostanyan, Vahagn Hayrapetyan, Armen Hyusnunts, Head of Armenian State Jazz-band, “Time Report” ethno-jazz-quintet, famous and beloved jazzmen Martin Vardazaryan, Yervand Yerznkyan, Levon Malkhasyan, Armen Tutunjyan and special guest Arthur Ispiryan. During the breaks, tours were organized to wine factory, the history of wine making was presented, culture of Armenian wine. “Everything what we inherited must be presented to the world in an appropriate way, disseminate information as many people don’t know; we receive thousands of guests from abroad, they get enthusiastic and interested; Armenian wines become demanded and it boosts tourism,” noted Victoria Aslanyan. The festival was of high interest both among locals and tourists. Victoria Aslanyan is sure that more efforts should be put in order to make Armenian wines internationally known, “Armenia has huge potential and we should use it. Now it is time for revival of Armenian wine making; we have wonderful history of wine making, current production, quality, which can be proudly served in the international market.” Victoria Aslanyan promises that if the weather is nice, such events will be organized regularly, tourism and culture will be linked often.
