“Finally there is a person, who is able to continue our work. I do not even doubt that FC Pyunik will achieve new success,” Rafik Hayrapetyan, already former Chairman of Yerevan FC Pyunik, said during the press conference. He today handed over his powers to new owner Arthur Soghomonyan. In reply to the question why the Hayrapetyan family handed over the club established by them, the latter answered, “It isn’t a present to anyone. This deal has been done so that President of Football Federation and his family members have no connection with any club. As of now we consider it appropriate to hand over the club to Mr Soghomonyan, as we trust him and are sure that he can properly head the club. As for the question why we didn’t sell the property of the club, it is an inner agreement,” explained Rafik Hayrapetyan, who is son of Ruben Hayrapetyan, Head of Armenian Football Federation.
