LIVE: Discussion of Brodsky's works in Yerevan (video)
A discussion of the works of famous writer Joseph Brodsky is underway at “Grqamol” club in Yerevan. The discussion also features writer and publicist Avag Yepremyan, journalist and publicist Mher Arshakyan and a group of young people. Born into a Jewish family in Leningrad, Brodsky ran afoul of Soviet authorities and was expelled from the Soviet Union in 1972, settling in the United States. He was a famous essayist, playwright and translator. In 1987, Brodsky was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
