During today’s parliament sitting, the newly elected speaker of the National Assembly, Ara Babloyan said MPs were to register again as many of their colleagues made their first appearance in parliament and were know acquainted with the technical devices yet. As a result, 89 lawmakers out of the present 105 got registered.
Republican lawmaker Eduard Sharmazanov called on the legislature to observe a moment of silence for the victim of the Greek genocide, also known as known as the Pontic genocide.
Today the National Assembly will elect vice-speakers by secret ballot. The voting got underway.
