AR MoD: Azerbaijani armed forces use mortars and grenade launcher
On May 16-17 overnight on the Line of Contact between the opposing forces of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, the adversary violated the ceasefire regime about 60 times, firing more than 900 shots towards the Armenian positions. Besides the rifle weapons, the Azerbaijani armed forces used 82 (4 shells) and 120 mm (17 shells)mortars in the eastern direction of the Line of Contact, and in the north-eastern direction- 60 mm (4 shells) and 82 mm (15 shells) mortars as well as anti-tank grenade launcher. The DA vanguard units took retaliatory action in order to suppress the attacking activity of the adversary and continued reliable defense of the military positions. As of now operative situation on the front line is relatively calm. AR MoD
