Armenian athletes rely on their Russian and Azerbaijani opponents
On the final days of the European Wrestling Championship, freestyle wrestlers are set to compete in 70kg and 125 kg w/c. Armenia’s Valter Margaryan and Levan Barianidze lost the initial stage and dropped out of the race for a gold medal. Margaryan lost to Russian Kasumov of Russia, while Barianidze lost to Azerbaijan’s Jamaladdin Magomedov. Should the Armenian wrestlers enter the finals, they will compete for bronze medals.
