New works of composer, jazz pianist and organist Gari Kyosayan will be performed at the concert dedicated to the World Jazz Day. On April 30 open air concert will be held in the territory of Cascade Complex and Kyosayan’s Armenian quartet will also perform during the concert. “I will perform during that concert with Hammond B3 organ, which I brought with me from America. For the first time I will perform a work, which has been recently written especially for Jazz Day. It is called ‘Day of my dream’. It is a rather interesting work,” noted Gari Kyosayan. During the concert beloved and famous works of Gari Kyosayan, as well as works by American and other famous jazz composers will be presented to the audience. Kyosayan’s Armenian quartet includes Alla Sahakyan (vocal), Marat Hakobyan (saxophone), Arthur Nazaryan (bass guitar), Armen Movsisyan (drum). Gari Kyosayan highlights that it is great pleasure for him not only to perform with world known American jazzmen, but also with Armenian youth, which is very encouraging. April 30 marks World Jazz Day. Jazz was created at the end of the 19th century and at the begging of the 20th century as a synthesis of African and European cultures and until now continues to be a unique form of music art, which unites nations, removes borders between people and states.
