Artsakh soldier killed by Azerbaijani bullet
A private of the Artsakh Defense Army was fatally wounded in fresh ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan on April 24. Narek Harutyunyan (born in 1997) was killed by an Azerbaijani bullet while on duty in one of the military units stationed in the eastern direction of the frontline at 5:50 p.m. An investigation has been launched into the death of the serviceman. The Ministry shares the grief of the loss and extends condolences to the family members, relatives and co-servicemen of the deceased. At the same time, the Artsakh Ministry of Defense says Azerbaijani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Contact 50 times yesterday and last night, firing some 800 rounds against Armenian defense positions from weapons of different calibers. The Azerbaijani military also fired 50 shots from sniper rifles in the south-eastern and eastern sections of the frontline. The advance military units of the Artsakh Defense Army took retaliatory actions to suppress the enemy’s activity.
