Member of the Armenian delegation at the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE), the NA lawmaker Samvel Farmanyan touched upon the PACE first session launched in Strasburg. “The PACE session in Strasburg is proceeding under unprecedented political crisis. All the political groups represented in the Assembly share the same opinion that our old “friend”, the PACE President Pedro Agramunt has lost his confidence among the members of the Assembly. As a political solution to this unprecedented situation, Pedro Agramunt must step down. I hope that it will happen just during this session until the end of the week,” writes S. Farmanyan. Meanwhile, he says, another very important decision is maturing, “International reputable independent foreign investigative committee consisting of 3 members will be established to give a conclusion to the Assembly on corruption scandals in the PACE.” Earlier it was known that the PACE demands the resignation of Pedro Agramunt.
