Conscript fatally wounded in military unit in Armenia
Armenia’s Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case into the death of an Armenian private who died on April 21 in one of the military units stationed in Vayots Dzor. Narek Hakobyan (born in 1986) was fatally wounded by an accidental shooting of a fellow serviceman – a junior sergeant - who was cleaning the gun. The incident occurred during a a camp gathering in Vayots Dzor in the morning hours of Friday. The Criminal case was instituted under Article 373.3 of the Armenian Criminal Code. A probe has been launched into further circumstances of the incident.
